Mr. Bryan Davis and Miss Amanda Davis,
I am writing to thank you for the books that you signed for me—especially Diviner and Precisely Terminated, which I know were a gift from you. My dad told me today that he emailed you to ask where he could get signed books some weeks ago, and also to tell you how much your workshop at Life-Point Church, Vancouver, meant to us. I sincerely believe that God has called me to be an author, and I appreciate the time you took to share what you have learned. Your advice was much-needed and inspiring.
I would also like you to know that three or four years ago I hit some roadblocks in Life, and hearing both of you speak that night about your faith was a turning point for me.
Your books have made a tremendous impact in my walk with God. Dragons in our Midst, Oracles of Fire, and Dragons of Starlight stand apart from most teen fiction, and I can hardly wait to read the Cantral Chronicles. 🙂
Enoch’s Ghost touches me in a special way that no other book has, chiefly because of the character Ashley Stalworth. Bonnie is the ultimate role model and I admire her child-like faith in Christ Jesus, but the character I felt I could relate to the most was—and is—Ashley. She embodied my own insecurities despite my Christian faith and, admittedly, my deep-seated fear of Hell’s fiery embrace, something that even my parents had difficulty understanding. Her path to salvation was a thought-provoking read, and I remember having difficulty facing some of the truths it put in front of me. Enoch’s Ghost prompted me to ask God for revelation, and there were times that I had to put the book down and let my eyes water; they were good tears. Your books have been an amazing blessing to me.
Thank you again for the books: it was the gift that meant the most to me this Christmas!
May God bless you and your family this new year….
