#9 – Reaper Reborn (Book #3 in the Reapers Trilogy)
It’s always difficult to finish a series, and Reaper Reborn was no exception. This one had an added factor of difficulty. I wanted to end the story with enough darkness to make it realistic in a dystopian setting while also including enough hope to be satisfying.
Many dystopian stores start and end with bleak darkness. I wanted mine to start with darkness and end with a blaze of light, though the light doesn’t fix all of the problems. The presence of the light, however, provides hope that the characters will survive and perhaps even thrive.
This balance was difficult to achieve, but I think it works.
