When my publisher, Mountain Brook Ink, shopped for a reader to create the audio book version of Let the Ghosts Speak, I was concerned that it would be difficult to capture the story’s atmosphere and the vision I had for the characters–their voices, moods, and inflections.

Upon hearing David Pickering’s audition, expectations arose that maybe he could pull it off. He was good, quite good.

Then, after a few weeks, I listened to his recording. Simply amazing. Obviously Mr. Pickering understood my characters and infused every appropriate nuance in each dialogue phrase. His was a masterful performance.
