I will be suspending regular posts such as the critique group and story development for a while. We learned recently that my wife has breast cancer, so I need to devote as much time as possible toward her and her healing journey.
If you want to read more about her story, or if you want to contribute to her medical-treatment fund, please see this page – https://www.gofundme.com/susiedavis2 Even a small amount will help, and we hope that you will pray for her (us).
The writing posts that are already here will remain. I hope they are helpful and will be a resource for a long time to come.
I will continue to post important news items as they arise, but they will be infrequent.
Thank you for being readers of this blog.

You and your family will certainly be in our prayers. My aunt is dealing with lymphoma, a rare kind which is not responding well to any treatment so far. Our youngest daughter (20) just mentioned the other day how much she’d like to meet you someday. She’s a good writer and hopes to someday be free enough to come to Montrose…and said she’s hoping maybe you’d be back that year. She’s enjoyed your books and told me yesterday that someone at the Christian performing arts center where she volunteers/performs had Raising Dragons, and she was quite excited. Currently, she is working toward a degree in behavioral psychology and Christian counseling. She hopes to one day have a dance studio where she can offer therapy through dance and movement to you dealing with anxiety and other mental/social disorders. Be blessed, my friend, as you and your wife rest in His continual presence and mercy.
Thank you for praying. I’m sorry to hear about your aunt.
I hope to meet your daughter someday. It sounds like she’s quite amazing. Montrose has not invited me to their conference lately. Maybe they will again.
My little sis had that during her therapy for leukemia type all got it at two years old but she doesn’t have it anymore I’ll be praying for your aunt too

Totally understandable, Mr. Davis. I will be praying for your wife and your family.
Thank you.
I’m sorry to hear about Mrs. Davis’s cancer. I’ll be praying for her and for you and your family.
Thank you.
Mr. Davis, you’re family should always come first, so it is understanable. I will keep your family in my prayers.
D.I.
Thank you.
I’m so sorry, Mr. Davis. I’ll pray for you and your wife and family.
If you happen to have the time, I’d recommend you watch a series called “The Truth About Cancer”: https://go.thetruthaboutcancer.com/. It goes really in depth on the causes and cures for cancer that are available and would be a great help to you and your family during this time.
May God bless you and keep you during this time of trial. [Num. 6:24-26]
Thank you.
I will pray if I can. I sincerely hope that she gets better. Take hope in the fact that one of my family members had a form of cancer three times, all times recovered unscathed, and she is still alive.
Thank you.
I and my family are praying for you and yours.
Thank you.
Please take all the time you need. I’ll be praying for you, your wife, and whole family.
Much love and peace in Christ.
Thank you.
We’re lifting you, your wife, and your family up in prayer. May The Lord hold you all close.

I’m glad to hear that it worked out for her.

It wasn’t cancer just a lump though I don’t see the difference about them. They both require treatment
